# See each DinoAI chat's cost, and compact it when it's long
> The Code IDE copilot shows each chat's credits and context use, compacts long chats on demand, and sorts your chat history by credits spent.
*October 16, 2026*
The DinoAI copilot in the Code IDE now shows what a chat costs and how full its context is, right in the prompt input.
* **Credits and context.** A ring next to the approval mode picker fills as the chat's context grows, and turns red from 80%. Click it for the chat's credits, your credits this month, and the context it uses, in tokens.
* **Compact this chat.** DinoAI already compacts a long chat when its context fills up. Now you can do it sooner: the older messages fold into a recap, and DinoAI keeps the context. Sending pauses until it's done, and the recap uses credits.
* **Credits in chat history.** Each past chat shows the credits it used, and **Top spend** ranks your chats by cost.
On a narrow panel, the toolbar folds its labels and merges the mode and approval pickers into one, instead of wrapping.
