DinoAI Settings

DinoAI Settings allow you to customize your AI assistant experience, manage usage monitoring, and configure panel preferences to match your development workflow.

Accessing DinoAI Settings

  1. Open DinoAI by clicking the DinoAI icon (🪄) in the left panel

  2. Click the settings icon (⚙️) at the top right of the DinoAI panel

  3. Configure your preferences in the settings panel

Available Settings

.dinorules

Click the Edit button to quickly open your project's .dinorules file in the editor. This allows you to set persistent preferences for how DinoAI generates code, follows naming conventions, and applies your team's standards.

Toggle inline selection menu

Use the Turn Off/On toggle to control whether the inline selection menu appears when you highlight code in your project:

  • When "On" (default): Selecting code shows a menu for quick DinoAI interactions using the highlighted code as context

  • When "Off": Code selection won't trigger the inline menu

Usage

The Usage section displays your credit consumption and upgrade options:

  • Current month: Your credit usage for the current billing period (e.g., "0/100M Credits")

  • Usage summary: "You have used 0 out of your 100M credits quota"

  • Request Upgrade: Purple button to request plan upgrades when needed

  • History: Monthly breakdown showing credit usage for previous months (JUN, MAY, APR, etc.)


Panel Controls

The following controls are located at the top of the DinoAI panel for quick access during your development workflow:

+ New Chat

Create an entirely new conversation thread with no context from previous conversations. Use this when starting fresh on a different topic or project to optimize credit usage and maintain focused conversations.

Location Icon

Move the DinoAI panel between the left and right sides of the Code IDE. Your location preference is automatically saved across sessions.

  • Right Panel: Default position in the left sidebar

  • Left Panel: Move DinoAI to the right side of the interface
