Prerequisites
- A project open in the Code IDE on your own branch, not on the read-only default branch. See Work with read-only branches.
- Basic understanding of Git concepts: commits, branches, and pull requests.
Steps

Make a change
Edit a file in your dbt™ project. The file shows in the Changes list of the Git Lite panel. Keep the files you want to commit selected.

Let DinoAI write the commit message
Click Write commit. DinoAI reads the selected files and drafts a message in the Commit message… box. Edit the message, or click Write commit again for a new draft.

Commit and push
Click the arrow next to Ship it, then Commit & Push. Git Lite commits the selected files with your message and pushes them to your branch.Ship it does the same, then opens the pull request. On GitHub, that is the same pull request the next step creates.

Let DinoAI open the pull request
Click Create PR with DinoAI at the top of the Git Lite panel. DinoAI writes a title and a description from your branch’s changes, with a Summary, the Motivation, and How to test them. Paradime creates the pull request into your default branch and opens it in a new tab.
Create PR with DinoAI creates pull requests on GitHub and needs your GitHub account connected. On other Git providers, it opens the new pull request page, and you finish the pull request there.
You’ll know it worked when your commit shows on your branch with DinoAI’s message, and your pull request is open with a title and a description. If Write commit doesn’t show, DinoAI isn’t available in your workspace.
