The DinoAI approval mode picker open in the Code IDE chat panel, listing Manual, Auto, and Full auto with their descriptions, Full auto selected
The lock icon in the Code IDE’s DinoAI chat panel is now a picker with three approval modes. It sits in the prompt footer, applies to Agent mode, and DinoAI remembers your choice in each workspace.
  • Manual asks before editing files, running terminal commands, or using integrations. Allowlisted terminal commands and tools you’ve set to Always Accept still run without asking.
  • Auto sends whatever Manual would ask about to a reviewer model first. Safe actions run, risky ones come to you as the usual approval card with the reviewer’s reason, and file edits inside your repo go ahead without a review, except changes to Git and CI configuration, DinoAI’s own rules and agent files, dbt_project.yml, and profiles.yml. Each review uses credits.
  • Full auto runs everything without asking, terminal commands included. You’re responsible for what it runs.
If you had auto-accept turned on, you’re now on Auto. If it was off, you’re on Manual. Rejecting an open approval card is always honoured, even if you switch modes while it’s open. See Approval modes. Shipped in Paradime v6.17.0.
