The DinoAI model picker in the Code IDE, grouped by provider: Anthropic, Google, xAI, Moonshot AI, Qwen, DeepSeek, and OpenAI, with GPT-6.1 Sol selected
DinoAIโ€™s model lineup is refreshed: 12 new models, new defaults, and older generations retired. Every model is in the Code IDE copilotโ€™s model picker, and each bills at its own DinoAI credit rate.
  • New models:
    • Anthropic: Sonnet 5.5, Opus 5.5, and Haiku 5.5.
    • Google: Gemini 4 Argon, Googleโ€™s flagship reasoning model, and Gemini 3.8 Flash.
    • OpenAI: GPT-6.1 Sol and GPT-6 Luna.
    • xAI: Grok 4.7 (Preview).
    • Moonshot AI: Kimi K3 and Kimi K2.7 Code.
    • DeepSeek, a new provider: DeepSeek V4 Pro and DeepSeek V4.1 Flash.
  • New defaults: a copilot chat where you havenโ€™t picked a model starts on GPT-6.1 Sol. GPT-6 Luna handles DinoAIโ€™s background work, such as summarizing long tool output and reviewing actions in Auto approval mode.
  • Staying: Kimi K2 Thinking, Qwen3 235B, and GPT-6 Astra.
  • Retired: Sonnet 5, Sonnet 4.6, Opus 5, Opus 4.8, Haiku 4.5, Gemini 3.7 Flash, Gemini 3.6 Flash, Gemini 3.1 Pro (Preview), Gemini 2.5 Pro, Gemini 2.5 Flash, Grok 4.20, Grok 4.6 (Preview), GPT-5.6 Sol, GPT-5.6 Terra, and GPT-5.6 Luna.
Agent model families are refreshed too:
  • A family per provider: Anthropic, Google, OpenAI, OpenAI Premium, Grok, DeepSeek, and Kimi, next to Fast, Deep, and Open weights.
  • New default: an agent with no family runs on OpenAI: GPT-6.1 Sol does the work and plans, and GPT-6 Luna handles sub-agents. Balanced is retired.
  • Check your slugs: an agent pinned to a family that no longer exists runs on the default family, and the session header says so. The Grok familyโ€™s slug is now xai and OpenAIโ€™s is openai-standard, so update model_family in agent YAML and modelFamily in API calls that use the old ones.
See Supported models for when to use each model.
