September 30, 2026 The MCP servers you’ve connected in Settings > Integrations now work in the Code IDE copilot, not only in agent runs. Ask DinoAI a question that needs Looker, for example, and it can call the Looker server’s tools from the chat, with each call shown in the panel.
  • Same controls. The copilot gets the tools each server has turned on, narrowed by your workspace’s default Agent environment.
  • Approval follows your mode. MCP tools always ask in Manual, go to the reviewer in Auto, and run in Full auto. See approval modes.
  • Up to 128 tools. A chat can use 128 tools at most. If your servers add more, DinoAI tells you how many it left out, so you can turn off the ones you don’t need under Settings > Integrations > MCP Servers.
  • A broken server doesn’t stop the chat. If a server’s tools can’t be loaded, DinoAI says so and answers that message without them.
In the agent builder, MCP tools now sit in the Tools picker, grouped by server, with an option such as All Looker tools at the top of each group. In YAML, list them under tools as mcp__<server>__<tool> or mcp__<server>__*. The separate mcpTools list is deprecated: it still applies, and the builder offers to remove it once you’ve moved its entries. See Connect external MCP servers. Shipped in Paradime v6.17.0.
