A DinoAI agent connected to four tools: search_catalog, link_jira_issues, get_lineage returning a production relation, and get_jira_issue with full set to true
DinoAI agents get new tools, and sharper answers from the ones they already have.
  • Catalog search. search_catalog now works in programmable, Slack, and Bolt agents, not only the copilot. It searches dbt™ assets and connected tools such as Looker, Tableau, and Fivetran, and each result lists the columns that matched. In the builder it’s in the Catalog & lineage group.
  • Link Jira issues. link_jira_issues links two existing issues with any link type in your Jira site, for example DATA-12 is blocked by DATA-9. It works with Jira Cloud and Jira Data Center.
  • Production tables in lineage. get_lineage and get_column_level_lineage name each model’s production table as relation (database.schema.table), so an agent can query it straight away. A unique_id with a guessed project prefix now resolves to the right node, with a note saying which one.
  • Whole Jira issues. get_jira_issue with full set to true returns every comment and custom field in a readable view, not raw Jira data.
  • Quoted shell characters. run_terminal_command accepts quoted |, &, and ;, for example git log --format='%H|%ad|%s'.
Agents that restrict their tools with an allowed list need the new tools added in the builder. See the Tools Reference, the Catalog tool, and the Jira tool. Shipped in Paradime v6.18.0.
