The agent builder Output step: a Slack channel with Refresh, Answer in set to The channel instead of A thread, and What it posts with All updates and Final answer only
A DinoAI agent with a Slack channel used to open a thread at the start of every run and post each update into it. Two new settings let you change that, on the builder’s Output step or in the agent YAML.
  • Answer in. A thread works as before. The channel skips the “Starting agent” message and posts the answer as a top-level message in the channel. Reply to it with @Paradime to continue the session. In YAML, set slack.answer_in: channel.
  • What it posts. All updates works as before. Final answer only posts one “Working on it” line, then only the closing answer. Questions, approvals, and failure notices still post. In YAML, set slack.updates: final.
This suits agents that report into a busy channel, such as a daily cost summary or a triage bot: one clean message per run instead of a thread of progress notes. See Slack output. Also on the Output step: if Slack’s channel list takes more than 10 seconds to load, you can type the channel name instead, and Refresh reloads the list. Shipped in Paradime v6.21.0.
