- dbt™ tests start hidden. Tests add cards without adding lineage, so they’re hidden by default. Tick Test in the node-type filter to bring them back, and Reset to default hides them again.
- Opens two levels each way. Lineage starts two levels upstream and two downstream instead of three, so a busy model no longer opens cut off in both directions. Raise the depth whenever you need more.
- Loads less data. Each graph now carries every logo once instead of twice on every card, and the Lineage tab no longer loads the graph again after you trace a column. Large graphs open and respond faster.
- The Table view follows your trace. While you trace a column in the Catalog, the Table view lists that column’s lineage, with a Grain column showing which assets connect at column level and which only at table level. With no trace, it’s labelled as model-level dependencies.
- More complete column lineage. Columns created with quoted names, such as
"camelCase"or names with spaces or symbols, no longer leave a model’s column lineage partial, and a column trace no longer picks up sources that only feed other columns. Affected models re-parse on their next catalog build.
Lineage opens with less noise and loads faster
Lineage opens two levels each way with dbt™ tests hidden, loads less data, follows your column trace in the Table view, and traces quoted column names.

Lineage in the Catalog and in the Code IDE opens faster and shows what you came for, most noticeably around models with dozens of parents and children.
